| Shaw Pipe is pleased to introduce a full line-up of large diameter precast concrete pipe headwalls to the marketplace this construction season. Shaw Pipe realized there was a market for headwalls that would satisfy stringent municipal and provincial requirements, as cast-in-place concrete is less desirable; construction deadlines are always of crucial importance. REQUIREMENTS THAT HAVE BEEN CONSIDERED INCLUDE:
- A maximum grate slope of 45º
- Offer both horizontal and vertical grating bars for the inlet and outlet grates
- Incorporated grate lock-down system assessable from dry land
- ALL grate areas are a minimum of SIX times the area of all accommodating inlet and outlet pipes
- Three piece lockable and removable handrail
These units have all been professionally designed, with sliding, overturning, and bearing pressure all being incorporated into the calculations. As with all other Shaw Pipe supplied products, we have utilized our Dayton Lift Eye system for handling these units, so that a safe and secure lifting connection is always assured. We also provide a step-by-step installation guide for both the designer and the contractor. Shaw Pipe is also responsible for the supply of the required grates and handrails, so that you can be assured of the proper size and orientations being provided to the site.
